Texas law, effective January 1, 2012, made it possible for beekeeping to qualify for Ag Valuation (ag exemption) on property taxes.
 
Requirements:
1.) The property needs to be 5-20 acres. (6 to 21 acres if there is a house on the property.
 
2.) The property must of been used for agricultural purposes for 5 of the last 7 years. If not, I'll be happy to help start the process for you. Just know it will take 5 years of agricultural use to receive the exemption on the 6th year and on..
